J. Simón Cantarero

Mr. Cantarero specializes in litigation, including contract enforcement actions, breach of contract disputes, copyright and trademark defense, corporate litigation, and business torts in the area of commercial litigation.  Mr. Cantarero also has extensive experience in the area of employment law and provides legal counsel for clients in employment agreements, non-compete and severance/termination agreements, compensation packages for executives, wrongful termination, employment discrimination, and general employment rights under State and Federal laws.

Mr. Cantarero is a member of the Litigation Section and Labor & Employment Law Section of the Utah State Bar and the American Bar Association.  Super Lawyers selected Mr. Cantarero as a 2011 Mountain States Super Lawyer “Rising Star” in business litigation.  Super Lawyers had also selected Mr. Cantarero for inclusion in the “Mountain States Rising Stars” in 2009 for Business Litigation. Utah Business magazine included Mr. Cantarero as one of Utah’s “Legal Elite” for Business Litigation in 2010.

He earned his J.D. from Brigham Young University, where he was the editor-in-chief of the BYU Journal of Public Law, and he received his B.A. in international political economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
